Born under the name Michel de Nostradame, Nostradamus was the son of Reyniere de St-Remy and Jaume de Nostradame, a grain merchant and notary of Jewish descent.

However, his grandfather had converted to Catholicism and changed his family name to Nostradame to escape persecution during the Spanish Inquisition.

Nostradamus's predictive ability is thought to have first emerged during his trip to Italy in the 1540s.
During this time, Nostradamus met a group of Franciscan friars. He then predicted that one of the monks would become Pope in the future.

In fact, Felice Peretti became Pope Sixtus V in 1585. It is known that Felice Peretti was one of the monks who had met Nostradamus.

Starting from this incident, Nostradamus, who works as a doctor, even further away from the world of medicine and spends most of his time meditating.
In fact, previously he had published several books in the field of medicine. From his meditation, Nostradamus claimed to have visions of the future.

Finally, in 1550 Nostradamus began writing an almanac containing astrology and some predictions of future events.

The almanac that he wrote managed to get great attention from the French public. This prompted Nostradamus to publish his masterpiece entitled "Centuries".

After that, Nostradamus plans to write 10 volumes of books containing 100 predictions that will occur within the next 2,000 years.

In 1555, Nostradamus published a collection of predictions entitled "The Prophecies" and became one of the most well-known figures during the Renaissance.
Although he is considered a controversial figure and considered insane because of his predictions, many people believe that Nostradamus' predictions came true. It is known that Nostradamus died on July 2, 1566 due to illness.

Nostradamus' Prophecies Come True
Although there is no valid proof yet, Nostradamus' works are considered to predict a number of events that have already occurred.

Some of them as quoted from various sources are as follows:

1. Death of King Henry II of France
Henry II was a king who ruled France at the same time as Nostradamus.

In fact, the two of them knew each other and Nostradamus had once predicted the king. But unfortunately, the prediction is not a good prediction, it reads:

“”Young lions will beat older ones. On the battlefield, in one battle. He will pierce his eyes through the golden cage. Two wounds made one, then he died a violent death.”

It is known, in the summer of 1599, King Henry II held a tournament to celebrate his daughter's marriage.

At the event, he faced an athlete named Gabriel de Lorges, Comte de Montgomery who was 6 years younger than him. In the final round of the battle, Gabriel's spear tilted upwards and split into two halves. Where one part penetrated the king's eye shield and the other part injured his temple. The injuries got worse and made King Henry II feel excruciating pain for 11 days before his death.
2. The Rise of Hitler Adolf Hitler was Chancellor and leader of the Nazi Party during World War II. Hitler is also cited as the cause of the death of 6 million Jews.

It also caused the death of another 5 million people consisting of prisoners of war, gypsies, people with disabilities and the sick. Hitler's presence was not spared from the predictions of Nostradamus.

Through his poetry, Nostradamus said:

“From the depths of Western Europe, a small child will be born to poor parents. He who with his tongue seduces great armies. His fame will rise towards the eastern realm.”

Nostradamus' prediction is believed to describe the figure of Hitler and what he had done. It is known, Hitler was born in 1889 to a poor family in Western Europe.

Hitler later joined the Nazis and succeeded in controlling Germany because of his skill in speech. During World War II, Germany was also allied with Japan in the east.
3. Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombs As World War II reached its end, the United States dropped two atomic bombs to force Japan to surrender.

Interestingly, this event was already predicted by Nostradamus in his poem which reads:

“Near the gate and within the two cities, there will be a whip that is never seen. Famine in plague, people were crippled by steel. Cry out to the great eternal God for help.”

On August 6 and 9, 1945, the United States dropped bombs on two Japanese cities, namely, Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The bomb was dropped by a steel plane and caused thousands of people to die.

The Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings also caused Japan to experience a food crisis, and was stricken with disease outbreaks due to the long-lasting effects of nuclear radiation.
4. Death of John F. Kennedy John F. Kennedy was shot dead while visiting Dallas on November 22, 1963.

This incident shocked the American public. Many people believe that President Kennedy's death was predicted by Nostradamus, through his verse:

“An ancient task is about to be completed. From above, evil will fall on that great man. The innocent who die will be accused of the deed, the guilty will remain in the fog.”

Died in 1963, Kennedy was killed by a bullet fired from the roof of a building.

Not long after that incident, a man named Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested for the murder of the head of state. Oswald himself always said that he was not the culprit.

Unfortunately, before he could prove his words, Oswald was killed by a nightclub owner. Decades have passed, but until now no one can really be sure that Oswald was the culprit behind Kennedy's death.

5. Indonesia and Australia, 
Nostradamus' predictions went viral because some of his predictions were very accurate, such as the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, and those mentioned above. And it's true that Queen Elizabeth death in 2022.

Nostradamus said that war was caused by the struggle for the waters of the Indian Ocean. Nostradamus never mentioned the names of Indonesia and Australia. The one who mentioned the names of the two countries was Mario Reading himself.
Towards the end of the book, Mario Reading discusses the threat of war between Indonesia and Australia. He predicts war will break out in 2037.

As a result, the issue of the war between Indonesia vs. Australia in 2037 goes viral.

It should be noted that Nostradamus did not mention Indonesia or Australia in his predictions. Meanwhile, 2037 was taken by Mario Reading based on the phenomenon of a solar eclipse.
